Cable Network Systems
Cable networks are used to connect one network device to other network devices or to connect two or more computers or servers to share printers, scanners and other network devices. Different types of network cables such as twisted pair and fibre cables are used, depending on the network’s topology, protocol, and size. The devices can be separated by a few meters (e.g. via Ethernet) or nearly unlimited distances (e.g. via the interconnections of the Internet).
Wireless Network Systems
A wireless network is a computer network that uses wireless data connections between network network devices.
Wireless networking is a method by which homes, telecommunications networks and business installations avoid the costly process of introducing cables into a building, or as a connection between various equipment locations. Telecommunications networks are generally implemented and administered using radio communication.
Examples of wireless networks include cell phone networks, wireless local area networks (WLANs), wireless sensor networks, satellite communication networks, and terrestrial microwave networks.
